BEER-STEAMED LITTLENECK CLAMS

Beer-Steamed Littleneck Clams  are so good dipped  in  melted butter!

Learn how  to clean clams  and cook them  for a clambake  at home!

Rinse, scrub & soak! Rinse & soak again. Rinse once more. 

Ingredients

Place equal parts beer and water  in a pot that fits  your steamer basket. Add  the bay leaf. Cover and boil.

1. Uncover and add the steamer basket of clams.  2. Cover again. 3. Steam the clams until they open wide. 4. Remove each one when it's ready.

Discard any clams that don't open after 25 minutes.

Serve with  melted butter, lemon or beer broth. Add corn on the cob  and sweet potatoes for a clambake!
