Peel & cube  the turnips.  Boil them  in a little water.

Mash  the boiled turnips. 

Brown the butter.

Stir in the brown butter, brown sugar  and bacon  to the turnips. Substitute golden  monk fruit sweetener  for the brown sugar  to make keto mashed turnips.
