ITALIAN PIZZELLE COOKIES (Almond or Anise)

Learn  to make  THE BEST Italian  Pizzelle Cookies!

These thin  waffle cookies are light, buttery and crispy.

Flavor them with almond, anise  or vanilla!

Ingredients

Make  the pizzelle batter. - Beat the eggs and sugar. - Sift the dry ingredients. - Fold them into the egg mixture.

Scoop onto your  pizzelle iron.

Cook until golden brown.

Use a spatula to place the hot pizzelle  on a cooling rack. While still warm, you can mold them into: - cannoli shells - sundae cups - cones

Serve pizzelle plain or with: - Powdered sugar - Whipped cream - Ice cream
